Some Tunes Take Tonger Than Others To Get Done…

I have been working on this one for quite a while now. If I remember well, it started out as a piano riff back in the 1990s (the main theme you can hear on Rhodes in the intro). I added guitar parts later (probably in the late 1990s).

Back in the days I had no idea how to play drums so I wrote some parts with the mouse in my DAW, triggering MIDI drums sounds with my SoundBlaster Live soundcard (yeah, I don’t think you can call this stuff an audio interface!). There were some pretty good Soundfonts for the time. It was not that bad, but far from the real thing!

A few years (decades?) later, I have re-recorded most of the tracks and re-arranged the tune. It’s now time to work on acoustic drums parts and then record the solo sections. I will hopefully get this finished before the end of the decade, before I get old! 🙂
